Welcome to my PalmOS development site.
Here you will find the code and applications which I have
written for PalmOS, as well as various resources I've
found which are useful in my programming efforts.
It is my hope that by providing these resources I will
help other programmers to overcome the difficulties of
working with PalmOS.
Useful Links
-
SourceForge Page - This is where all development
on the Tetsujin PalmOS Development project is
coordinated. Here you will find all the latest news,
information on CVS access, module releases, discussion
boards, and the like
- My Projects -
The projects hosted here contain a wealth of useful
examples.
- O'Reilly & Associates
- The best publisher of computer books ever.
Their Palm Programming book is easily one of the
best ways to get started with PalmOS, though the first
edition is becoming a bit dated, what with the change to the
datatype names in OS 3.5, and the addition of color,
WinPaint API, and filesystem API in the last couple years.
- PalmOS.com -
This site is a necessity for any PalmOS developer - you
need to register your CreatorID here, and Plam.com is also
where you can get your copy of the PalmOS API in Acrobat
format.
- LispMe - Version
2.6 of LispMe was released under the GPL, making this
quite possibly the most functional and complete
open-source PalmOS application out there. Scheme for
PalmOS - ya gotta love it!
- Individeo - Authors
of OnBoard C and OnBoard Resource Editor for PalmOS.
Their Resource Editor app puts Insider to shame - It lets
you view and edit resource and non-resource databases,
disassemble code, preview forms, edit anything. IMO
RsrcEdit is a necessity for any PalmOS developer.
